Hello my beautiful tribe.
How have you been feeling lately?
Have you lost your balance? Are you feeling uninspired? Are you feeling stuck, or unsure of your next direction? Are you convinced there must be more to this life?

Hello my beautiful tribe.
How have you been feeling lately?
Have you lost your balance? Are you feeling uninspired? Are you feeling stuck, or unsure of your next direction? Are you convinced there must be more to this life?
Winter is a time for us to turn our focus inwards.
The days shorten, the light decreases, the temperature drops (dramatically it seems!). External buzzing energy and distractions slowly diminish, leaving behind a stillness, a quietness, a return to YOU.
I have been feeling disconnected of late, like I have lost myself a little bit. So it was time to do something for me, to re-fill my cup and nurture myself. I took myself to see my spiritual healer, the equivalent to a big warm soul hug.
Time to get real (isn’t it always?!).
I’ve been in a bit of hole the past couple of weeks, in fact it’s been a BIG hole. A crater even.
After a couple of personal events including a break up, family illness and the end of a friendship – I let myself slide into a state of deep sadness. I flat lined, I felt like the life had been sucked right out of me. I had nothing left. I started to question everything in my life! These few weeks felt like a lifetime as I started to wonder if I would ever get out of the hole I had fallen in.
I’m feeling heavy today.
Waking up this morning to the news across the globe of execution, natural devastation and violent riots. It’s heavy stuff.
This is my first time sitting back on my computer in a very looong time.
I’ve come back from a little hiatus. Some time out to unwind, chill out and refuel. My body, and my spirit had been running on empty – yet I didn’t even realise it until I stopped. We often don’t realise how fried we really are until we have a moment to slow down, remove distractions, and truly BE with ourselves.
Do you have those days, you know the ones – where you would loose your head if it wasn’t screwed on? . . . Phone to the ear, computer on your lap, drink in your hand, to-do list on your mind – juggling five different tasks at once – sound like you?
I was so fortunate to do Eoin Finn’s workshop when he was in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. He is my all time favourite yogi, but what he teaches goes beyond yoga – he is a modern day hero in my eyes.
He has a way of being that just lights people up inside. He has a true gift of connecting us to ourselves, and to each other. He is just so beautifully HUMAN.
I had an interesting conversation with a friend last night. He wanted to change jobs, change careers infact, but felt he was under qualified for some of the positions that were available. It brought to mind for me the misleading notion of ‘readiness’ – when are we ever really ready?
You all know by now my self-professed obsession with water, more specifically – salt water. . . So you can imagine my surprise and delight when I landed myself in a floatation tank on the weekend! #jackpot
Yes that’s right – a tank you float in.
