What’s that thing that makes you light up?
You know, the thing that makes your heart feel as light as a feather and puts a giant twinkle in your eye. The thing that you completely lose track of time when you’re immersed in it. The thing that you are drawn to more than anything else. The thing you find your mind wanders to . . .
That, THAT my friends is your passion!
I found this on instagram today and it stopped me in my tracks, hit me right in my heart space! Check it:
My Darling,
Be supreme in all that you do.
Take hold of your passion
and roam to the end of the
fucking earth for your happiness.
Never become blinded be doubt.
You can soar in even the
most unusual forces of storms.

Some people freak out a little when they hear me say the word ‘passion’. They worry that they don’t have one, and this question makes them nervous. You DO! Everyone does. In fact you probably have a couple. It’s just that sometimes we get so dis-connected from ourselves, that our passions are buried under a myriad of commitments, responsibilities, ‘shoulds’, self-doubt and worry. When this happens we can’t hear or feel what our soul is yearning for anymore. . . but we know that something is missing.
For me, my passions are communicating authentically, contributing to other people and making a difference in the world. There’s something I get out of these things that is unparalleled to anything else I’ve experienced. They are the creme de la creme of natural highs for me.
I’ve always loved diving deep within, expanding my mind – I’m a self proclaimed personal development junkie! But for years, I never realised that there was anything in that, I mean, you know, as far as paying the bills and creating a career out of it. I thought it was just a selfish indulgence of mine. Yet now I get to live and share this work with other people! AND get paid! (say what?) If I had of told myself 4 years ago that this was possible I wouldn’t have believed me.
It really gives me such satisfaction and fulfilment, it actually puts me on a physical high. Walking away from a client meeting, delivering a workshop, or hanging up a Skype call – my cup is filled to the brim! I get just as much benefit from these calls as do my clients. How cool is that?! #winwin
Ultimately my coaching is about inspiring people to follow their wildest dreams, and create positive meaningful change in their lives.
I love witnessing change, seeing people’s eyes light up as they increase their awareness, smash through self-limiting beliefs and step into what’s possible for their life. One of my clients describes this as “having the sunshine pour out of me!”. It’s a wonderful process for me to support in, and I’m so blessed that I get to call it my ‘job’.
I believe coaching is a calling. A call to bring forth and share your magnificence with the world and in doing so, you give others permission to do the same.
So why do you do what you do?
I hope you love it as much as I do – because remember, life is far too short to spend the majority of our waking lives doing something we don’t enjoy. Truly.
We often get fooled into thinking ‘well this is just the way things are’, and believing we don’t have the power to change our situation. Well you DO. It’s not a question of if you can make the change, it’s a question of if you have the courage to make the change.
You know what’s serving you, and what’s not. You are an intelligent, resourceful, emotional creature. So it’s time to start listening to your body, to your heart. And if you sense a change is needed, don’t delay. Don’t push your dreams aside for a rainy day. (haha that rhymed!)
You have a special gift, unique to you – and it’s your responsibility to share that with the world.
You have the power of choice, each and every day.
I’m totally in your corner.
The meaning of life is to find your gift.
The purpose of life is to give it away.
